Brass Sundial with magnetic compass and spirit level
This is the newly developed largest brass sundial made
from solid brass. This premium grade model of the sundial compass is similar to
other sundial compass, but has a panel spirit level built into the frame to assist
in leveling the sundial. The three main variables that affect the accuracy of
a sundial are the azimuth, latitude of the instrument, and level. This sundial
has the ability to set all three variables. It has an internal magnetic compass
to align the sundial in azimuth to North. The top of the sundial is hinged and
a curved scale is used to set your local latitude angle. The three legs of the
sundial can be adjusted until the spirit level's bubble is centered. The compass
features a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass's jeweled bearing when
it is transported. The top of the sundial can lay down flat, and both the latitude
scale and the sundial vane are hinged to lay flat for compact storage. Dimensions:
